Meroitic studies in Russia

The Meroitic Studies Group of the Institute of Oriental Studies in Russia was established on the initiative of Professor Isidor Savitch Katznelson at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the (then) Soviet Academy of Sciences in 1973. Since then, the group has held an annual conference in which it presents and discusses the papers and research of its members and others from inside and outside Russia. These and other researches are published in a bulletin bearing the name

"Marwa  Problems of History and Cultural Connections"

 Мерое Проблемы Историии Культурных Связей

Due to the importance of this research and the difficulty of obtaining this bulletin, this page will be dedicated to displaying summaries of all the research published in the various issues of that bulletin.
